Our second bush camp was at Lake Stretch , another pretty site but not so pretty the next morning when I was sister Annalenes first patient for the day at the clinic with a nasty dose of sand fly bites , the itch was unbearable so with calamine lotion spotted legs and antihistamine tablets we were once again on our way once we had filled up at $2.60 a litre for diesel !!
It was great to see where Ann has been working , so isolated , she joined us for dinner at out camp and had an interesting drive back home , she forgot to drop the breadcrumbs and ended up driving around in the bush for over an hour lost, very easy to do out there in the dark when all the tracks look the same.
